Pendleton Historic District: Ten minutes southeast of Clemson, the village of Pendleton has an antebellum town square that predates the university. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The Village Green is the focal point of the town with rows of antique shops, boutiques and restaurants. It is the site for many of the community’s most popular annual events, including the Pendleton Fall Harvest Festival.
